Photos – Royal Hobart Botanical Gardens

We took a stroll at the Botanicals over the weekend and of course, I took my camera along as it was a pretty nice day.

All pics taken with my Nikon D7000, 50mm f1.8 lens. Post-processing limited to one-touch ‘enhance’ button in iPhoto. No cropping.

  1. Really good work! (If you can call if work) Thanks for sharing such beauty and looks like we both spent some time at a “garden” 😉 over the weekend!

  2. I like the one of the bloke (your dad?) sniffing the rose, it gives it some life. I wouldn’t bother messing about with a one touch enhance button, it just gives digital photos an unnatural sheen. Your camera and particularly that lens shouldn’t need any enhancing.

  3. Wonderful photos and I’m envious of your camera and having a day to explore those gardens too!

It seems an added bonus to enjoy your photos whilst it’s winter on our side of the globe. 🙂

Thanks for sharing with all of us.

  4. A grand collection of photos; you certainly have a good eye for composition – I’m no expert but they just look right.
